As eye care professionals our training never really ends.   Whether it's mandatory by means of required CE or voluntary with journals and industry meetings, there is always something new to take back to our patients.

But how many of us are talking it a step further with advanced level training?  Optometrists now have the opportunity to become board certified, many organizations offer a fellowship or diplomate  for their membership (ie. American Academy of Optometry, Contact Lens Society of America, Scleral Lens Society, etc.) you can even go as far as earning your MBA or PhD.

These accolades not only speak to our personal growth, but they also display our love and dedication to our profession.  Have you set any personal goals as an eye care professional?
