Newsletter Editor Commentary

Just last month, was mentioned in "Optometry Times" where we were compared to similar products in our industry.  Our site earned a good review, which adds to a long list of positive media coverage recently received by our company.  It is always humbling to see our product embraced by such a broad spectrum of users, and we can only hope that we continue to provide a valuable resource to the community we not only serve, but work within.

Thank you for your comments and feedback.  It has been great!  Please feel free to continue to keep us posted on services we might be able to provide to assist you in your daily contact lens fitting challenges.

Happy Prescribing!

Launch of Biofinity XR

PLEASANTON, Calif., Oct. 21, 2013 -- CooperVision, Inc. today announced the launch of its Biofinity XR contact lens brand. This is an extension to its popular Biofinity (comfilcon A) silicone hydrogel technology, allowing practitioners to confidently fit a greater number of monthly replacement lens patients, including those with significant hyperopia and myopia.

Purevision 2 for Presbyopia

Purevision 2 for Presbyopia finally reaches the US after previous successful international launches.  Currently, the design offers a correction of +6.00 to -10.00 with a Low and High add power option.  This center near design uses a 3 zone (Distance/Intermediate/Near) progressive structure.  Available in the same silicone hydrogel material as previous Purevision 2 designs (Balafilcon A), this family of lenses continues to offer excellent oxygen permeability.
